What is synthetic motor oil and how is it made?

Synthetic motor oil is a type of motor oil that is engineered from chemically modified petroleum components, as opposed to conventional motor oils, which are derived directly from crude oil. The process of creating synthetic motor oil involves breaking down the base oils into their basic molecular components and then reassembling them to create a product with optimal performance characteristics.

The result is a motor oil that offers superior lubrication, increased engine protection, and enhanced performance compared to conventional motor oils. In addition, synthetic motor oils are more resistant to oxidation, thermal breakdown, and sludge formation, which can lead to a longer engine life and reduced maintenance costs.
